My guitar is a Fender DG5 Dreadnought, a Christmas gift from 2004/05. She is made of Basswood back and sides with a nato neck and I think a rosewood fretboard.
I named her Tilly after the latin name for Basswood (Tillia) and she has a fabulous sound with great sustain and good note seperation.
I had to have a set up done a while ago because the action was way too high for a beginner with soft fingers-even though I'm not new to guitar its been so long since I had one I may as well be! Incredibly this guitar retailed at about £90 ($150-180), which is incredible given the tone! 20 odd years ago a guitar in that price band would be like cardboard, but they have a come a long way since, largely due to quality brands being mass produced in China and the like.
Anyway enough waffle, here she is!
