 Happy Birthday Gabriel Fauré, born this day 1845. Got a favourite piece? I've not heard much of his music but I love his Pavane.

Open D tuning

 Set the Tanglewood up for open D or Vestapol tuning (DADF#AD) and it sounds fab!

 Happy Birthday Agustin Barrios Mangoré, born this day 1885. The music world would be very different if he hadn't been born.

Guter Mond

 I took a recorder piece and played it on piano, working out my own LH part.

Couple of lyre tunes

 Had a little play with my 16 string lyre harp. First I played a Vangelis tune (Missing)

Then I picked a piece from the recorder book . I was finding it tricky on recorder and not enjoying the high notes. So I began learning it on lyre harp. The piece uses dotted notes (staccato) and trills.
