Czerny study

 Settled on learning the first Czerny study, op 599 no.1. Even if I go no further I have a nice piece I can use as a warm up!

A Kalimba and a little dog

 Another surprise from my other half, a 21 note Kalimba now tuned to the F major scale.

Also I sat at the piano the other day and played a piece based on a riff I played on my Lyre Harp. I had a little dog figure on the keyboard so I named it after him.

Moodshadow

 A piece I 'composed' in 1999 using a home keyboard hooked up to a synth via MIDI. Here played on piano.

From guitar to piano

 A couple of pieces from The Guitarist's Way book 3 adapted for piano. So much easier to play on piano!

 A piece I learned on guitar which I then transferred to piano.

Ideally the notes in the left hand should ring out, but not sure how to do that on piano.

Clara gets a new home

My partner suggested that we move the piano upstairs. 

So today we removed the keyboard part, took it upstairs, rearranged the room, then took the legs up and reassembled the piano in its new place in our bedroom. 

Now I'll be able to play it whenever I want and play tutorial videos without annoying anyone downstairs.

The Bach Effect

 I was playing Bach's Toccata and Fugue earlier and, well, listen to the very end. Basically there is a box of coffee pods up on the shelf and Bach made them crash to the floor. Hilarious

I heard a piano version of this Rolling Stones song played on a TV show and I thought I'd have a go...

Little chord improv

Played on my digital piano for the first time in a while and came up with a little bit of improv playing chords in the right hand and accompanying with the left hand.

Back to piano...I'm currently practicing a Czerny exercise to help my reading of music and hand independence.  I play it each night for half an hour till it's perfect.
