Pastorale, redux

A piece in The Guitarist's Way book, redone, played on strings 1 and 2 rather than trying to play it all on one string. Also played the repeat.

Then I played it on ukulele

Reverie

A little piece I came up with while practising guitar.

Legend

Legend from The Guitarist's Way book 3.

This was a tough nut to crack. Its not perfect; there are moments when my nail is hitting the adjacent string on the way back down to the correct string, but the string spacing is closer on this Valencia. Sounds tons better than the Jose Ferrer though.

I was exhausted afterwards!

Another piece from The Guitarist's Way book 3

Played on my Valencia hybrid with its narrower neck. My other full size classical is being repaired.

From guitar to piano

Had a little play on my Valencia hybrid classical

Then I took 'Song of the Mountains', a piece in the The Guitarist's Way book 1, and adapted it for piano.

New classical guitar

My existing guitar developed a lifting bridge. I didn't fancy playing it anymore in case it comes off. While out at York on a family day out we looked inside a music shop I hadn't been in before. And thanks to my other half I came out with this Valencia VC204H.
It has a narrower neck (45mm nut), a hybrid guitar. (Hence the H in the model number)

It also uses 2 strips of teak on the back of the neck instead of a truss rod, making it quite a bit lighter than the Jose Ferrer. Also its not head-heavy like that guitar:
