Darwall's 148th

a hymn from the School Recorder book 1 played on tenor Sigo. I used Open Camera for a change on my other phone and an not happy with how it looks. Keeps going dark then bright again for some reason.

2 recorder pieces

Learned 2 pieces today, one for soprano, one for alto.

Revisiting the soprano

I began playing the soprano recorder in 2016 and I made my way through most of The School Recorder book 1. After a while I moved onto the alto and tenor and the little sop sat collecting dust. Till now!

Cader Idris

A beautiful piece in the recorder book called Cader Idris (a town in Wales).

Aulos 303

The Harp that once through Tara's Halls

An old Irish folk tune in the School Recorder book. First I played it on the soprano. I was informed I should play it slower, so I played it again but on the alto.

All Through the Night x2

A lovely piece in the School Recorder book 1.

First I learned it on my Aulos tenor recorder...

Then on piano, making up my own left hand part.

Same piece, 2 different instruments

This is a piece in the School Recorder book called Wake Up, and I first played it on my Aulos tenor, then I played it on the flute, both instruments being pitched in C.

Playing an old hymn

This piece is called Water-End by George Shaw. It's not a piece I'm familiar with but apparently its an old school hymn also known as Glad that I live am I.
Oh and the composer's son played Darth Vader in Star Wars VI...

Played on my Aulos soprano.
