Uh oh, sore fingers, again!

OK, first things first, I'm not totally new to the guitar but this is the first time I've managed to take it seriously! I've had an acoustic since my partner bought me one in 2005 but its largely sat collecting dust, due in part to bringing up 2 young children. Now they're at school so...
I said partly due to being a parent but also I'm a lazy sod who gives up easily but I'm hoping to change that!
