I got a Kalimba!
My partner bought this for me, out of the blue. The kalimba is a tuned percussion instrument based on the Mbira, played by the Shona tribe of Zimbabwe. It was originally very basic but was developed in the 1950s by Hugh Tracey into the modern, highly resonant instrument called the Kalimba.
